GANGRENE FOOT DUE TO VESSEL BLOCK

Before

A 55 year old gentleman presented to me with non healing ulcer in his right foot. He was a diabetic and smoker both contributing to his ulcer/gangrene. A month back he developed gangrene of his 5th toe for which he underwent toe removal followed by repeated debridements. The ulcer showed no signs of healing following which he was referred to us. His angiogram showed blockage in his arteries supplying the leg. We planned for a peripheral bypass, which was successfully done. Following his bypass his ulcer healed (as seen in the pic) and was able to walk comfortably
